Terms & Conditions of Sale
- York Maze Hallowtween is operated by York Maze Ltd., a company registered in England Reg No.07264520.
- By purchasing a ticket you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between York Maze and yourself, and by extension anyone you are purchasing tickets on behalf of.
- HEALTH WARNING. You will be exposed to strobe lights, loud noises, shocks, scares, tight corridors, low ceilings, darkness, smoke machines, steps and uneven ground. Some medical conditions mean that this event will be unsuitable for you. Please think carefully before you buy a ticket.
- You are entering a farm environment and the ground may be uneven. You enter the site entirely at your own risk having agreed to the terms and conditions.
- This is a scare event and not suitable for young children. The loud noises, smoke and other special effects are concentrated in but not limited to the scare houses. You are likely to encounter Halloween characters anywhere on site with movie quality gore make-up (eg blood, body parts etc) and props (eg chainsaws, axes, weapons). The recommended age range is 10 -15yrs. However, there are no set age restrictions we leave the final decision to parents/guardians. Due to loud noises and other scares used in the Scare Houses this event is particularly unsuitable for infants. Children under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult 18yrs or over at all times including inside the scare houses. Maximum of 8 children per accompanying adult. Proof of age will be requested for anyone who appears under 21 and is claiming to be 16 or over to be able to go into the Scare Houses unaccompanied, or 18 or over to accompany under 16 year olds. Please bring suitable ID.
- No food or drink, glass bottles, fireworks or sparklers will be allowed into the event site.
- Whilst dogs are permitted on site for Hallowtween, they are not permitted in any indoor areas including the Entertainment Marquee (where the stage shows take place) and scare houses.
- The organisers reserve the right to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of patrons.
- As members of the audience, ticket holders accept that they may be filmed and sound recorded for broadcast or publication.
- You may not touch the members of the cast in any way.
- The QR Code sent in your booking confirmation email must be presented (on your mobile device or printout) for scanning at the entrance.
- If the ticket is scanned and shows that it has already been redeemed then entry will be refused.
- All members of your party must enter together.
- Hallowtween Standard Ticket are booked for a specific date & time. The ticket is only valid for entry on the date and timeslot booked. You must arrive within 30 minutes of the booked time shown on your booking confirmation, this is your timeslot. Once inside you may remain on site as long as you wish until closing. Your entry ticket is no longer valid after your booked timeslot closes. Latecomers may be admitted at the sole discretion of York Maze.
- Prices on the website are subject to change without notice. We accept most major credit and debit cards in partnership with our ticketing provider. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes. There are no surcharges whatsoever. Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets.
- All online bookings incur a £2.50 per transaction booking fee.
- Some activities or Scare Houses may not be able to open for safety reasons, or due to technical or operational reasons. York Maze reserve the right to alter or vary the attractions, rides and shows available without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
- In the unlikely event that York Maze Hallowtween is not able to open on the date you have tickets booked for we will offer you tickets for an alternative date. Only if York Maze cancel the event and no alternative date is available will a refund be considered. Any refund will be limited to the cost of the ticket purchased only. No consequential liability will be covered.
- Once booked and payment made tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- You can change the date and time of the booking subject to the terms below…
- Date/time can only be changed by the customer who bought the ticket(s) by signing into your online ticketing account.
- You must change all the tickets in your booking at the same time, you cannot split the booking. Eg if one person in a group can’t make it you cannot change the single ticket. Tickets cannot be cancelled and no refunds will be given.
- Any change must be made my midnight the day before arrival. Tickets cannot be changed on the day of arrival and if not used on that day expire and have no value.
- Changing to a new date/time is subject to availability and paying the difference in price between the cost of tickets booked and the cost of tickets on the date you want to change to. Alternative dates/times may sell out and if no alternative date/time is available then the booking cannot be changed.
- If you are changing dates from a more expensive ticket to a lower priced ticket then no refund will be given. If you then want to change again to a higher priced ticket you will need to pay the additional cost.
- Each change of date/time will be subject to a £2.50 per transaction re-booking fee.
- The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission and remove any person without assigning any reason.
- The organisers cannot accept financial or other responsibility for any loss or liability incurred as a result of:
- Contracts entered into by visitors, with any stall holder, exhibiter, caterer, performer or other person or organisation on site.
- Any damage to or loss of visitor's property whilst on site.
- Personal injury caused to or death of any visitor at the event say insofar as this arises out of the organiser's negligence.
